Harvel Hash House Harriers!

The intrepid Harvel Hash House Harriers arrived at Meopham Windmill after their Sunday run and enjoyed the grounds and their Guided Tours of the mill.

They particularly enjoyed going out onto the Reefing Balcony where they looked out across the countryside they had just run through. A popular highly popular aspect it added to the fun and merriment of the event after their healthy exertion.

The Harvel Hash House Harriers also made a very welcome donation which has helped us to continue improvements to both building and grounds.  Thank you so much everyone!

Festive Christmas Lights

The lights have been turned on at the windmill in the shape of a Christmas Tree with a Star.
The old Windmill has become a beacon of warmth, sending a message of joy out to the village as the in the other businesses and residents also began preparing for the winter fun.

Planting Bulbs for Spring Colour

Volunteers spent a morning to plant crocuses and daffodil bulbs that have been collected and donated by the local Rotary members.

The warm sunshine on an autumn morning gave everyone a surge of energy ,and as usual, the team enjoyed fun and banter as they got stuck in.

Eventually, hundreds of bulbs were planted and we are now expecting a good splash of colour when Spring arrives.

Meridian TV Interview with Sarah Saunders

Dave Denman was interviewed live by Sarah Saunders from Meridian TV whilst standing high up on the Reefing Platform of Meopham Windmill and the exciting restoration story and our future hopes for the windmill were shared with viewers.

After a quick tour of the mill, Sarah was particularly interested in the benefits to the community and the response of the village as well as the high numbers of visitors who took tours.

The media coverage was very welcome and Sarah suggested she return in 2026 to report on the Windmill’s progress.
